Introduction

Dr. Mufti Mohammad Mujeebur Rahman Alimi is a distinguished Islamic scholar, researcher, educationist, and social leader. He was born on 13 April 1980 in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, into a well-known religious and scholarly family. He is the son of the late Maulana Abdul Razzaq Qadri Teghi (Rahmatullah Alaih), from whom he received his early religious, moral, and spiritual training.

He completed his Alimiyat (Islamic Scholarly Degree) in 2002 from Jamia Alimiya, Jamtashahi Basti, and subsequently earned his Fazilat degree in 2004 from Jamia Ashrafia, Mubarakpur, one of India’s most prestigious Islamic institutions. During this period, he developed a strong foundation in Fiqh, Usul al-Fiqh, Hadith, Tafsir, Ilm al-Kalam, and Arabic sciences, and gained deep insight into the principles and methodology of Ahl-e-Sunnat wa Jama‘at.

He later pursued higher education in modern academics, completing his Bachelor’s degree in Arabic from Aligarh Muslim University, followed by a Master’s degree in Arabic from Allahabad University, securing First Division. In 2017, he completed his Ph.D. in Arabic Language and Literature. To further broaden his scholarly exposure, he also benefited from advanced studies at Al-Azhar University, Cairo (Egypt), where he engaged with eminent scholars and spiritual mentors.

Dr. Alimi’s academic interests include Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh and Ifta), Islamic studies, Arabic language and literature, and Sufism (Tasawwuf). He is known for presenting Islamic teachings in a balanced manner that harmonizes classical scholarship with contemporary needs, giving special importance to research, moderation, and evidence-based discourse.

He is also actively involved in writing and research. His well-known book, “Paigham – Ahl-e-Sunnat”, is a concise yet comprehensive work on the fundamental principles and beliefs of Ahl-e-Sunnat wa Jama‘at, and is widely beneficial for students and general readers alike. In addition, he has authored numerous research-based, reformative, and intellectual articles and papers, addressing contemporary religious and social issues.

At present, he serves as the Managing Trustee of KGN Educational & Welfare Trust and as a teacher at Jamia Arifia, Syed Sarawan Sharif, under whose guidance various educational, religious, and welfare projects are being successfully implemented. He also provides academic and administrative leadership to KGN Public School and KGN Education Centre for Diniyat and Qur’an, where special emphasis is placed on integrating modern education with strong moral and religious training.

Along with teaching and administration, Dr. Alimi is a powerful public speaker and intellectual orator. His articles are published in reputed Urdu newspapers and journals across India, and his lectures are highly regarded in academic and intellectual circles.
